Loom Knit Project: Knitting without Needles

Skill Level: 2 Intermediate
Supplies:
1 Skein Peaches & Crème knitting worsted solid or variegated
Fine Gauge Loom
Knitting tool
Tapestry needle or crochet hook
Notes:
Use e-wrap cast on from left to right.
All knit stitches are done in reverse purl as follows: Lay yarn above
current loop on peg. Insert hook from bottom up through current loop.
Catch yarn and pull down through current loop. Grasp new loop and pull up
to remove current loop from peg. Place new loop on peg and tug gently on yarn to
snug up new stitch.
Slip first stitch on each row.
Use basic bind off as follows: Knit pegs 1 & 2. Move the loop from peg 2
to peg 1, knit off. Move the loop from peg 1 to peg 2. Knit peg 3. Move
the loop from peg 3 to peg 2, knit off. Move the loop from peg 2 back to peg 3.
Continue until all pegs are off the loom. Cut > yarn and pull through last loop.
Stitches:
K2tog: Move right stitch to left peg, move both stitches back to
right peg, knit off 2 over 1.
Border:
Row 1: Knit across
Row 2: Purl across
Repeat rows 1-2 for 1” border.
B4 = Knit/purl 4 stitches at start and end of each row maintaining border
pattern established.
Pattern: x 2 + border
Rows 1-2: B4, *k*, B4
Row 3: B4, *k2tog*, B4
Row 4: B4, *pick up horizontal thread bellow empty peg, place it
on empty peg and knit off, p1*, B4
Repeat rows 1-4 for pattern.
Cloths:
Cast on:
Small Cloth: 32 stitches
Medium Cloth: 40 stitches
Large Cloth: 52 stitches
Knit border for 1”.
Knit pattern Maintaining established border pattern until border
distance from desired length.
Knit border for 1î maintaining established border pattern.
Bind off and finish.
Back Scrubber:

Cast on: 3 stitches
Knit a 9” I-cord.
K3 (pegs 1-3), e-wrap pegs 4-17, re-hang cast on edge on pegs 18-20
placing stitch 1 on peg 20, stitch 2 on 19 and stitch 3 on 18. K3 (pegs
18-20).
Knit border for 1“
Knit pattern for 14-19" maintaining established border pattern.
Knit border for 1”ending on an even row.
Bind off pegs 1-17. Knit a 9” I-cord on last 3 pegs. Re-hang 1st 3
bound off stitches on pegs 18-20 placing stitch 1 on peg 20, stitch 2 on
19 and stitch 3 on 18. Bind off these 3 pegs and finish.
Towels:
Cast on:
Small Towel: 60 stitches
Large Towel: 80 stitches
Knit border for 1”
Knit pattern maintaining established border pattern until border
distance from desired length.
Knit border for 1” maintaining established border pattern.
Bind off and finish.
