Required:  3 ounces (2 ounces) of Peaches & Crème Worsted Weight Cotton Article 930  (Sample shown in P216 Dk Purple Ombre)

Size H Crochet Hook

 

Stitches used:  Chain (ch)

                         Single Crochet (sc)

                         Half Double Crochet (hdc)

                         Double Crochet (dc)

                         Trebel Crochet (tc)

                         Slip Stitch (ss)

                         Skip (sk)

 

Chain 39 (27)

Row 1:  hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across 37 (25) st, turn

Row 2:  ch3, sk first hdc, dc in next hdc and in each hdc across 37 (25) st   (counting ch 3 as first dc), turn 

Row 3:  ch3,  sk first dc, dc in next dc and in each dc across and in top of beginning ch 3    37 (25) st,  turn 

Row 4:  ch2, sk first dc, hdc in next dc and in dc across and in top of beginning ch 3      37 (25) st, turn

Repeat rows 2, 3, and 4 in sequence until piece is approximately square ending with row 4

 

Border: 

Row 1:  Evenly space 37 (25) sc along each side all the way around piece, adding 3 sc in each corner; join with ss

Row 2: *hdc, dc, dc, tc, dc, dc*, repeat from * to * across to corner, ending with hdc, in corner, sc, ch1, dc, ch1, sc, repeat from * to * across to corner; repeat corner pattern around.
